About Power Tech Consulting

Power Tech is a data, AI, cloud, and transformation consultancy serving mining, financial services, hospitality, and government clients across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, and India. We're multi-vendor, so we recommend what's right, not what's easy to sell, and we're building our own products alongside client work.

Service through contribution. Trust through transparency. Accountable from end to end. Join us and help shape what Power Tech becomes.

About the Role

Power Tech Nexus is the product company of the Power Tech group. We build and run our own AI-driven software products for businesses in Australia and the region. We are a small team growing deliberately, so every hire shapes how the product and the engineering practice turn out.

Our Australian clients increasingly rely on Microsoft Power Platform to modernise their processes. As Power Platform Developer, you'll take projects from requirements through to go-live and support, working directly with client stakeholders in Australia. You'll be trusted to run your own work, keep delivery on time and within budget, and represent Power Tech with clients.

You'll also own how Power Platform work gets done at Power Tech. Our team members and vendor partners need to work to a consistent standard, so you'll own our in-depth know-how, ways of working, quality control processes, checks and balances, and best practices, and make sure the good work from our projects is captured as reusable IP. You'll stay hands-on while providing oversight and quality assurance across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end business solutions using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.

• Own our Power Platform standards and best practices, covering solution design, naming conventions, security, environment strategy, ALM, and deployment, and keep them current as the platform and our projects evolve.

• Define and run our quality control processes, including design and code reviews, peer checks, testing and release checklists, and go-live readiness checks, and apply them across our own team and our vendor partners.

• Provide oversight and quality assurance on Power Platform work delivered by team members and vendor partners, reviewing solutions against our standards and coaching people to close any gaps.

• Own the Power Tech intellectual property for Power Platform: capture what has worked well across our projects, and turn it into reusable templates, components, patterns, and guidance, held in a clear knowledge base so that know-how is shared across the team and does not sit with individuals.

• Work directly with Australian clients, remotely, to gather requirements, run workshops and demos, and turn business needs into clear technical solutions.

• Manage your projects with minimal supervision, including planning, estimating, tracking progress, and flagging risks and issues early, and deliver on time and within budget by managing scope and agreeing changes with the client before work proceeds.

• Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and third-party systems using standard and custom connectors and APIs.

• Write clear technical and user documentation, hand over solutions that clients can support and extend, and provide post-go-live support and enhancements, resolving issues promptly and keeping clients informed.

• Work closely with our team in India and Australia and with our vendor partners, sharing knowledge, reviewing peers' work, and supporting colleagues when deadlines are tight.

• Keep regular working hours with dependable overlap with Australian business hours, and be punctual for client meetings and commitments.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development, covering Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

• A track record of delivering complete projects end to end, from requirements to go-live and support, that you can walk us through.

• Experience setting or upholding delivery standards, such as reviews, ALM, or quality checks, and giving specific feedback on others' work.

• The discipline to turn project experience into reusable assets, documentation, and guidance.

• Proven ability to manage your own projects with minimal supervision, on time and within budget, with excellent English and confidence working directly with international clients.

• Experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and external systems through connectors and APIs, with working knowledge of ALM, environment management, and security.

• A reliable, honest, and hardworking approach, and a good team player who communicates openly about progress and problems.

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft certifications such as PL-400, PL-600, or PL-200.

• Power BI report and data model development, and experience with Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, or Copilot Studio.

• JavaScript, TypeScript, or PCF control development for advanced customisation.

• Consulting or professional-services experience with Australian or international clients, including working with vendor or partner teams.

Education

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

What Success Looks Like

• Your solutions go live on time, within budget, and are actively used.

• You run projects independently, with risks raised early and few surprises.

• Team and vendor partner work meets a documented standard, with issues caught in review.

• Our best work is captured as reusable IP that the wider team uses.
