Power Tech Nexus · Product Engineering
We are looking for a hands-on DevOps / Platform Engineer to own the cloud platform our products run on, across Azure and AWS. This is a build-and-run role: you will design it, automate it, keep it secure and make releases routine.
You will work closely with the product engineers and the AI & Cloud Architect, and you will have real ownership of the deployment path to production.
Location: Melbourne, Brisbane or Remote. Full-time, permanent.

About Power Tech Nexus
Power Tech Nexus is the product company of the Power Tech group. We build and run our own AI-driven software products, including Power EA, for Australian businesses. We are a small team growing deliberately, so every hire shapes how the product and the engineering practice turn out.
What you will do
- Author, review and apply infrastructure as code (Bicep and Terraform), with every plan or what-if reviewed before apply
- Build and maintain CI/CD in GitHub Actions using federated (OIDC) credentials rather than stored secrets
- Run containerised workloads on Azure Container Apps and AWS container services, releasing immutable image versions
- Own identity, secrets and network security for the platform, with least-privilege access throughout
- Build observability that tells the truth: logs, metrics, alerting and health checks
- Keep production and non-production environments properly separated and free of configuration drift
- Produce evidence for ISO 27001 controls as part of normal work
What you will bring
- Production experience with Azure (Container Apps, Key Vault, API Management, networking, managed identities)
- Solid AWS experience (IAM, ECS or EKS, VPC networking)
- Infrastructure as code in production: Bicep or ARM, and Terraform
- GitHub Actions to a production standard
- Container build and release pipelines
- A habit of verifying the running system after a change, not assuming it worked
Nice to have
- Kubernetes at production scale
- Python or TypeScript to a working standard
- Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor or KQL
- PostgreSQL operations
- Experience supporting LLM or inference platforms
How we work
- Small, senior team with a short path from idea to production
- AI-assisted engineering is part of the daily workflow, not an experiment
- Security and ISO 27001 controls are built in from the start, not bolted on
- Done means deployed and verified running, not merged
- We write things down: runbooks, decisions and handovers
How to apply
Apply with your CV and a short note on something you built or ran that you are proud of, and what you would do differently next time. We read every application and reply to everyone.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
