About Power Tech Nexus
Power Tech Nexus is the product company of the Power Tech group. We build and run our own AI-driven software products for businesses in Australia and the region. We are a small team growing deliberately, so every hire shapes how the product and the engineering practice turn out.
What you will do
- Own the product backlog and roadmap for one or more Nexus products
- Run customer discovery: interviews, onboarding observation and feedback loops
- Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria and a definition of done
- Take part in sprint planning and reviews as Product Owner, working with our project manager
- Define and track product metrics: activation, retention, usage, AI cost per customer and revenue
- Coordinate launches with marketing and customer support
Technical Requirements
Must-have
- Three or more years as a Product Owner or Product Manager on a software product, ideally B2B SaaS
- Writes user stories, acceptance criteria and release notes that engineers and testers can work from without follow-up
- Backlog and delivery tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps Boards or GitHub Projects
- Product analytics and basic SQL, enough to answer your own usage questions
- Technical literacy to discuss trade-offs with engineers: APIs and integrations, cloud cost, and the limits of LLM features (accuracy, latency, cost per call)
- Awareness of privacy and security requirements in product decisions (ISO 27001 controls, Australian Privacy Act)
Desirable
- Owned an AI or LLM-based product
- Subscription pricing and packaging
- Odoo or ERP product experience
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PSPO or similar
Who you will work with
- Project manager: runs the sprint ceremonies; you own the what and why
- Business analysts: help refine requirements; client requirements on consulting work stay with the BA team
- Engineering team: estimates and builds; the architects own technical design
How we work
- Small, senior team with a short path from idea to production
- AI-assisted engineering is part of the daily workflow, not an experiment
- Azure-first, with AWS where a product needs it. All infrastructure is code (Bicep or Terraform), changed through reviewed pull requests in GitHub, never by hand in the portal
- Security is built in from the start: we are ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and are implementing ISO/IEC 42001 for AI management
- Done means deployed and verified running, not merged
- We write things down: runbooks, decisions and handovers
